Wii Menu Uninstaller
The Wii Menu Uninstaller is a channel which uninstalls the Wii System Menu and installs the NDEV Menu on Wii development units.
The channel's banner. Contrary to DiskCheck which shares a similar design, it doesn't have a background music. | |
| Title IOS | IOS9 |

| GameID | .WMU |
It is included on the Wii Menu Changer disc and is installed as part of its software set along with the Wii Menu to allow switching between the retail Wii Menu and the Boot-IRD menu.
Several versions exist. They include different versions of boot-IRD, as well as its title IOS and - except for the latest versions - boot1 and boot2.
The Wii Menu Uninstaller has a similar design to the Wii Menu Changer, but serves the opposite purpose. It doesn't uninstall the system menu so much as it overwrite the normal menu by installing the ndev menu/boot-ird wad over the existing menu.
WMU Channel Content
After dumping a Wii's NAND and extracting the contents, the files for the WMU can be found at title\00010002\01574d55\content.
The WMU essentially acts as a WAD installer, installing the boot-IRD and title IOS wads to the console. These WADs can be found by decrypting the u8 archive 'title\00010002\01574d55\content\458f4d3b.app. Inside this archive on System Menu 4.3, the following wads can be found:
firmware.128.56.22.29.wad firmware.64.56.22.29.wad systemmenu.rvl.122A.56.wad
These same files can be found by extracting the swupdateBootIRD.wad from Wii Menu Changer 1.16 and unpacking the 0000002.app u8 archive. The specific boot-IRD versions and IOSs found on each disc are listed in the Boot-IRD article.
