MEM2 (known as BMEM earlier in the system's development) is the internal name for the Wii's 64MB (128MB on NDEV and RVT-H Reader) GDDR3 external RAM. It was implemented to replace the GameCube's ARAM and was present in the Wii's system design as early as December 2004.
